A tale of a priceless away own goal.
English League Titles for Liverpool: 18
European Cups for Liverpool: 5
Any other more decorated club than Liverpool in Britain: None whatsoever
John Arne Riise scoring an own goal in front of the kop
and giving chavs the most un-deserved away goal: Effin’ PRICELESS !
There are somethings money can’t buy, for everything else there is Master Kop C*nt
ROFL
Boy that was hilarious to see Liverpool concede like that. After so much hard work in first 93.6 minutes, last thing these mugsmashers would have wanted was to concede an away goal, at the kop end, in the last 20 seconds, to a side that played sh*t football and deserved nothing from the game, and through one of their longest serving players
I should feel sorry for them. Sadly I don’t.
I love the headlines of the morning papers.

Please don’t get the impression that I have anything remotely in common with Chelsea. NO way. I knew this match would be a spectacle boring to the core and I never planed to watch it. Then sadly just few minutes after the kickoff my internet went dead and for apparently no reason I switched the tele on and started watching. I don’t have any idea why I was watching a football match in which both Chelsea and Liverpool were playing on the same pitch. Usually such a thing makes you sleepy but it didn’t. I kept watching and watching. It was a cagey affair. Liverpool was dominant but still boring. They squeezed in one first goal through their keeper’s legs and I thought thats it. 1-0 and tie is going to Liverpool. They missed the chances to put the game beyond Chelsea once and for all. In 92nd minute I thought thats it for Chelsea and their stupid manager Avram Grant. But it was never meant to be like that. A lame cross by some Chelsea c*nt had brought a spectacular diving header out of John Arne Riise. Top corner, brilliant! For all those who believe in divinity of Anfield and the magic of The Kop, It was a perfect kick in the teeth. They were singing the legendary Liverpool chant “you’ll never walk alone”. Boy oh boy! Din’t they shut up or what!!
In fairness it is deja-vu indeed. Liverpool never deserved to be in the semis at the first place. They never did. They beat Arsenal in the quarters by plain luck. PLAIN LUCK!. It was a tale of two penalties. One that never was but was given to Liverpool because it was in front of the infamous kop end. Other, that was stone-wall but never given in favor of Arsenal. Arsenal played the game the beautiful way.
As they always do. For large portions of both ties Liverpool never came out of their own half. Arsenal dominated still the boring, tactical, defensive, “resilient”, “majestic” Liverpool progressed through. Arsebloger had this nice image on his blog that day that depicted my sentiments. In the words of Arseblogger:
“To the left is Pieter Vink who failed to give Arsenal a clear penalty at the Grove last week. To the right is Peter Frojdfeldt who gave Liverpool as generous a penalty as you’ll ever see at Anfield last night. Peters, why have you forsaken us?”
Maybe Chelsea will go through, we shall see. That would be just as undeserved as it was in Liverpool’s case in progressing to the semis. Deja-vu will come back to haunt them for sure. As much as I hate it, I can see Manchester United Megac*nts winning it. Of course you never know in football but their chances are in much better health than those of Liverpool, Chelsea and Barca.
I called my beloved friend Naveed at the half time. As much As I love him, it is disappointing that he supports a sh*te playing team like Chelsea. He had a power breakdown at that time and I told him it was 1-0 to the mugsmashers. He was very rightly critical of Chelsea players who still hadn’t turned up. I told him Chelsea are more than capable of sneaking an away goal out of nothing, so keep hope. And that is precisely what happened. I called him again at full time and he was laughing like mad, just as I was
I sent the message with text “bakri” to another of my beloved friends; Mooin Tariq. He is a passionate Liverpool supporter. he called me back and our conversation went on like this:
me: “aoa jigger kaisa hai….”
me: “hello !?? … awaz aa rahi hai…”
him: “han ^#@#$^ aa rahi hai awaz…”
me : “suna kaisa hai….”
him: “%$^&*Y*# … #$^* &%&*@#$ … ^&$#$#@&… hai Riise… sari mehnat pe #@$^%$^%^ pher dia… acha bhala jeet rahay thay !@#!*@#”
him: “yar kia &%!@#&@#!@*#&!@ hai ye… %$#@$%$”
He went on like that for five minutes and then I told him to take it as it is. Such things happen. Hope for the best for the return leg. And things like that. And then we talked about his job and other things and he felt better
Just a while ago I talked to Sheraz, another good friend from university and a Liverpool Fan, clearly down but hopeful all the same. Its just half time, and there is every thing to play for in the return leg.
It ain’t over untill its over.
So there I am, sitting in the office writing this post still smugly smiling deep down to see that lovely own goal last night. Worth watching the boring 94 minutes of football before that, I must say.
Till next time…
