Well such is the pace of day to day events that one forgets to do certain things that are supposed to be in the routine. Its been a while when I last wrote a post on the blog. Its been 3 days now since I started writing this post. Explains how much time I manage to take out these days. A lot has happened since the last post and I am trying to recall everything as I type.

At the end of the last post I mentioned my trip back from the post office where I managed to photo shoot a herd of cattle. If you do not remember I was there in the post office to remind those careless people about a letter that I was supposed to receive a fortnight earlier. I eventually received it 3 days later. So it is 64 raw score with 95.63 percentile score. And that with 20 minutes of preparation. It feels good :D I am still mulling over sending this result to HEC for indigenous scholarship program. I have this feeling that grasses might be greener elsewhere. I want KISTA so bad at the moment. More about that later especially once I have a solid perception of what I can get. If it makes you curious please pray for me. Sacrifice a goat or two maybe, do whatever you can to please your God so that he gives me the biggest break of my carreer, KISTA!

It must be a world-wide convention that whenever someone new takes charge, he introduces his own ideas of how things should work. Same can be said about our new boss. We are now bringing our food from our homes with us for lunch. We had hired a new office boy for 2 days but for some family reasons he left. Hunt for a new office boys is on. New boss’ residence happens to be in the way to my residence. Boss is a nice man in that he offers me to come with him on his car and its always difficult to say no to the boss but the downside is that boss would stay in the office of for ages. A trip back home in a luxury car is a nice thing but reaching home an hour later than usual clearly isn’t. It also means that I miss the ride on Junaid’s bike each day. I think I have to do something about it.

I feel I must write something about that office boy who worked for two days here. His name is Ayaz and he comes from Noshehro Feroz, Sind; almost 1500 km from Islamabad. The guy had done FSc and was working on mere 6000 PKR per month. It is sad to see such qualified people do a job of an office boy. But he was not complaining. In a country where millions are jobless, he was happy that he at least had a job, albeit not a great one. All is not right on planet earth.

I finally applied for Politecnico di Torino by scanning and sending them all the required documents. But then came the pain in the arsenal; they say I must get all my documents translated into Italian and send them along with an application form to Italian embassy too. #@$@!W%!@#

In the mid-week I saw champions league semi-finals. I was envious of the teams who were playing because my beloved Arsenal weren’t there. Liverpool got what they deserved. Shite! I hate Chelsea but for once it was nice seeing them beat Liverpool because Liverpool never deserved to play in semis at the first place. It should have been Arsenal. In the other semi-final ManU nicked Barca. I saw that match and Barca were playing like Arsenal at their worst. Loads of possession but no end product. ManU and Chelsea will be playing the first ever all English final and I hope it is a 10-10 draw, 3-4 red cards and a couple of broken elbows with penalties to follow which are also 10-10 and game is called off due to crowd violence :P LOL kidding, I hope we have a good game of football and the best team wins :) Although I see it to be a boring and cagey affair.

On Sunday Arsenal played their last home game of the season at the Emirates stadium. The match had an end of the season feeling to it. We beat Everton 1-0 courtesy of a Nicklas Bendtner header in the 77th minute. At the end players went on for a lap of honor and deservedly got a standing ovation from the packed 60K Emirates. Mathieu Flamini and Jens Lehmann may well have played their last home game for the Gunners and it was a nice occasion to say these two good buy. As for Jens he played 5 quality years for Arsenal, won trophies and gave some memorable moments to us. Thank you Jens!

Jens Flamster say good bye

As for Flamster, well its ironic that he was arguably our best player this season and he has realized grasses are greener elsewhere. We might hear the official news tonight that he has signed for AC Milan. With doubts also over futures of Alex Hleb and Gilberto, we are in for another ugly summer. More about all this later in a season review. Season concludes this Sunday at stadium of light against Roy Keane’s Sunderland.

We are having considerably large amounts of power load shedding this year. Every night at 9 there is a power breakdown for an hour. We usually spend this time at our rooftop where pleasant breeze happens to be a nice thing to experience. Almost all other families in the neighborhood are also on their rooftops at that time. Few nights ago I heard an interesting poem from little kids on a rooftop in our northern adjacent street. I don’t properly remember the lyrics but they went something like this:

Ami aur abu ki larrayi hogayi..

Ami ne bachon ki pitayi ker di..

Abu ne ami ki chuttiya kaat di….

. . .

We were laughing mad on the last line… Ahh, what a cute era this childhood is :)

And on this note I shall turn my attention to some office work. More later . . .
